Today we trek slowly upwards to Thorang La. We cross a stream, move to the village of Tenki and proceed with our move out of the Marshyangdi Valley turning northwest up the valley of Jarsing Khola. Today is the longest trek so, we’ll be starting before sunrise at 4 am to reach the pass by 9-10 am otherwise weather conditions will greatly affect the journey. We cross over at an altitude of 5416 meters where we’ll be exposed to strong winds if crossing too late. We start to climb steeply that’s regularly used and simple to follow. It often causes terrible problems to cross the pass if it’s covered by snow but it’s all betting on the atmospheric phenomenon. So, reaching the Thorong la Pass, you’ll be rewarded by the magnificent view then we’ll trek down around four hours to the holy town of Muktinath. Overnight at Teahouse in Muktinath.
