Do permits require to visit the Muktinath temple?

Yes, you need to acquire the Annapurna Area Conservation Project (ACAP) permit along with the Trekkers Information Management System (TIMS) Card for this tour. All the permits and documents will be arranged by our company. You just need to bring a couple of passport size photographs to fill the permits application form.

It is prohibited to enter this area without these permits.

Our company representative will be there at Tribhuvan International Airport to welcome you. Meet & Greet at the airport then transfer you to the hotel, check into the hotel. After freshening up proceed to visit the famous Pashupatinath Temple & Boudhanath Stupa. Accommodation in Kathmandu (Dinner)

Sightseeing Around Kathmandu

After morning breakfast visit to Swayambhunath, Kathmandu Durbar Square then drive to Patan Durbar Square, also known as Lalitpur or the city of fine arts and architecture with 136 bahals or courtyards and 55 major temples. Drive to Tatopani (3,210 m) from Kathmandu (330 km – 10 hours)

We start a very early drive after your breakfast in Hotel. It takes around 5/6 hours to drive to Pokhara. Another 3 hours’ drive reaches Beni and meets a rough road toward Muktinath. From Beni, it is another 2 hours’ drive in the rough road to reach Tatopani. Taking bath at Natural hot spring is an option here in Tatopani. Accommodation in Tatopani (B/D)

Tatopani to Muktinath drive (80km – 7 hours).

After your breakfast, start driving to Muktinath (3,800m). Reach Muktinath temple and spend your time. Come down to tea house and overnight. You can enjoy the view of various Himalayan ranges like Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, etc. Accommodation in Muktinath (B/D)

Back to Pokhara (209 km – 10 hours).

Trekkers have to provide their own personal clothing and equipment. Some items & kit are available for hire from us like Down Jacket, Sleeping Bags, Tents, etc. The following are the recommended equipment list:

Clothing

Down or fiber filled waterproof jacket and trousers, sweater or fleece jacket, underwear, warm and cotton trousers, shirts, and T-shirts, shorts, union suit, wool hat, sun hat, gloves, swimsuit, tracksuit, couple pair of socks, etc.

Footwear

Lightweight trekking boots – these must be suitable for snow, thick socks, light socks, camp shoes.

Other equipment

Sunglasses, trekking bag, flashlight with spare batteries, chargers, universal power adaptor, bottle, sun cream, lip salve, lock, day pack, gaiters, etc.

Other items

Insect repellant, toilet articles, diary, toilet paper, laundry soap, wet ones, pocket knife, towel, sewing kit, plasters, binoculars, camera, memory cards, chargers, and private medical kit, etc.

Before You Go

Passport and Visa

All foreigners except Indians require a visa to enter Nepal. A visa for Nepal can be obtained on arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu and at the border entry points in Kakadvitta, Birgunj, Bhairahawa, Nepalgunj, Gaddachowki on the Nepal-India border and Kodari on the Nepal-China border.

For Indians Nationality

You can arrive in Nepal either with voter ID or with your passport if you travel from India by flight. Traveling by road only require any valid ID card. As mention above Indian nationals does not need any visa for Nepal. Other than Indians are required to travel with a valid passport.
