Mustang district is one of the 77 districts of Nepal which lies in the Dhaulagiri zone covering an area of 3573sq. km belonged to the world’s highest mountains, Mt. Annapurna and Mt Dhaulagiri bordering China and the Tibetan plateau. Agriculture and animal husbandry are the main occupations of habitats. The entire district lies in the Annapurna Conservation Area which oversees development programs, Tourism Management.
Moreover, Mustang is an ancient forbidden kingdom. Therefore, The trek is an exploration of concealed valleys of the Upper Mustang in Nepal nestled between Tibet and the Himalayas. Although the upper Mustang trek is challenging, it surprises visitors with its culture and vistas in many ways. The Lo-Manthang has solar electricity, and an herb garden and there was a time when it was mandatory for a certain family to supply firewood for the Royal family until the proclamation of the Republic of Nepal in 2005.
Upper Mustang trekking was officially opened in 1992. The yak caravans, painted mud-brick houses, red cliffs, and snow-capped mountains are great vistas for tourists.

After breakfast, visit for sightseeing of various famous world heritage sites which include Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, and Kathmandu Durbar Square.In the evening, a briefing will be conducted to prepare you for the journey ahead.

An early flight takes you to Jomsom, where your trek begins. You walk along a dry riverbed landscape towards Kagbeni, a traditional village marking the gateway to Upper Mustang. The trail is relatively easy and scenic.

Entering the restricted Upper Mustang region, the trail follows a dry and wind-shaped landscape. You walk through narrow paths, cliffs, and small settlements before reaching Chele. The terrain begins to feel more remote and unique.
