The peak is the highest trekking peak in Nepal, standing over 6460 meters. It offers a great Himalayan summit thrill and presents the finest view of Himalayan Vista. It is situated on the edge of the famous Khumbu region from where one can get a remarkable view of Everest, Kanchenjunga, Makalu, Lhotse, Cho-Oyu, and other Himalayan peaks.

Amphu Lapcha Pass(5778m)

The Amphu Lapcha Pass is a technical high-altitude crossing that requires basic mountaineering skills. Experienced climbing guides fix ropes to ensure safe ascent and abseiling during the traverse. This section of the trek is supported by skilled local Sherpa teams with extensive high-altitude expedition experience.

The journey begins in Kathmandu with preparation before flying to Lukla. The route passes through rhododendron forests to Thangnang and continues toward Mera Base Camp, where acclimatization and basic climbing training are conducted. From there, trekkers move to Mera High Camp and attempt the summit of Mera Peak, followed by a contingency day for weather safety.

After the summit, the trail continues through remote valleys via Kongma Dingma and Seto Pokhari before reaching Amphu Lapcha Base Camp. The pass is then crossed into Chhukung, followed by a descent through Tengboche, Namche Bazaar, and back to Lukla. The journey concludes with a flight to Kathmandu and final departure.
