Trip Overview

Saribung Himal is located between the kingdom of Mustang and Manang border next to holy Lake Damodar Kunda. Its trek adventure root comprises the beautiful scenery of Mustang and Nar Phu valley in the Annapurna region. Saribung trek route is very adventurous and for the nature lovers. A special permit is required. The pass is tricky between Luri Gompa to Nar Phu Valley which is a secret valley with the ancient monastery, colorful stupas, and stone barley fields. Apart from peak climbing, it explores Damodar Kunda Lake, Kingdom of Mustang, Nar Phu valley with Tibetan Khampa inhabitants. Safety is always high on our priority list. Our guides and troop leaders each year train and update their skills to ensure a safe and memorable trekking experience in Nepal. You need quality equipment, good walking experience at high altitude. This trek route was opened by Nepal Government in 2006.

We fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara and a connecting flight from Pokhara to Jomsom from where Upper Mustang and Sare bung climb expedition begins. We will pass through Nar Phu valley to Saribung’s peak. The view from the summit offers a range of mountain peaks of Nepal and Tibet. We end our trek at Bulbule from where we take a flight to Kathmandu. This way we end our journey to Mustang’s Saribung Himal.
