Trip Overview

Island peak is most popular and suitable for all novice climbers and as well as experienced trekkers. It is a physically challenging experience but not technically demanding. In this expedition, you stand on a summit of the wonderful mountain at 6189 meters. It will be your first step for climbing the Himalayas. Island peak is strikingly located in the middle of Chhukung valley like an Island on a sea of ice. After getting acclimatized at Everest Base Camp and going through training from experienced climbing guides to ensure safety while ascending. The mountain climb is about 100 meters to reach the summit ridge. From the base camp, it takes more than a couple of days but the experience you get will be an unforgettable one. The thrills, accomplishment that meets the eye of the traveler once they reach close to looking at powerful mighty Everest will be a memorable one. The mountain was named Island peak in 1952 A.D. It was renamed as “Imja Tse” during the 1980s’.
