Today, you will enjoy a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Halesi through beautiful hills, rivers, terraced fields, and traditional villages. Halesi is well known for the sacred Halesi Mahadev Temple, an important pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhists. After reaching Halesi, you can visit the temple area and explore the spiritual caves nearby.

In the morning, we explore the sacred Halesi Mahadev Cave, an important pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhists. Following our visit, we hit the road again and headed toward Diktel, which serves as the primary hub of the Khotang district. On arrival, we prepare for the trekking journey ahead.

Today marks the beginning of our trekking adventure. The trail leads through traditional villages, terraced farmlands, and forested hills. The peaceful environment and local lifestyle make this section a beautiful introduction to the Mundum region.

We gradually ascend through scenic ridges and forest trails. As we gain altitude, the views of surrounding hills and distant Himalayan peaks become more stunning. The environment becomes quieter and more remote.

Early in the morning, we hike to Silichung Peak, one of the highest viewpoints in the region. From the summit, we can enjoy panoramic views of the eastern Himalayas. After spending time at the top, we descend back to Chakhewa/Base Camp.

We continue our journey along beautiful ridge trails connecting remote settlements and forest areas. This long trekking day offers stunning landscapes and cultural encounters along the way.

After breakfast, we drive back to Kathmandu through scenic hills and countryside landscapes. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel for rest or shopping in Thamel.
