Everest High Passes Via Chukkung trek covers a high-level circuit of all the major Valleys of Khumbu. It includes three high passes namely Renjo La (5388m), Cho La (5380m), and Kongma La (5535m). These passes link with the valleys of Thame, Gokyo, Khumbu, and Chhukung. You get all this and a bonus of unique Sherpa culture and their generous reception and hospitality.
Although this is a challenging trek it is also a scenically stunning area.
September to December and from March to May. This is a tea house trek and is overwhelmingly popular.

David Savage says:
We begin our Journey to the Everest High Passes Trek Via Chhukung with a sightseeing day in Kathmandu which offers a brief exploration of the temples, shrines, bazaars and restaurants of Kathmandu. We take a stimulating mountain flight to Tenzing-Hillary Airport at Lukla on the following day followed by trek up through the classic route to the Sagarmatha National Park playing with mighty Dudh Koshi river, colorful landscapes, Gompas and monasteries in the land enclosed by the soaring peaks.
