Trip Overview

The Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek is one of Nepal’s most remote and rewarding trekking adventures. This 24-day journey takes you into the pristine wilderness of the Kanchenjunga Conservation Area, where dramatic mountain scenery, ancient forests, glacial rivers, and traditional Himalayan villages create an unforgettable experience. The trail leads to both the North and South Base Camps of Mount Kanchenjunga (8,586 m), the third-highest mountain in the world.

Unlike the busier trekking routes in Nepal, the Kanchenjunga region offers peaceful trails, authentic local culture, and untouched natural beauty. Along the way, trekkers enjoy breathtaking views of Kanchenjunga, Jannu (Kumbhakarna), Kabru, Rathong, and numerous snow-covered Himalayan peaks while experiencing the warm hospitality of Rai, Limbu, and Sherpa communities.

Perfect for experienced trekkers seeking solitude and adventure, the Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek combines spectacular landscapes, rich biodiversity, and genuine cultural encounters into one extraordinary Himalayan expedition.
