Trip Overview

Ghorepani Poon Hill with ABC Trek is a combination of additional attractions of Poon hill and Ghorepani to the Annapurna base camp trek. In addition, we will come across green forests, fertile fields, and an up-close view of some of the highest peaks on the planet.

It is a suitable trek for students, children, and also for couples for their honeymoon. The highlight is the sunrise from Poon Hill which is an essential unique selling point of the trip. This is also a spot for Photographer’s paradise.

Moreover, The Ghorepani Poonhill with ABC trek will show you the striking panorama of Annapurna South, Annapurna 1 and 2, Dhaulagiri, Lamjung Himal, Gangapurna, and Manaslu ranges is a breathtaking scene of mountain glaciers.

The trekking route takes you through terraced slopes, warm villages, beautiful paddy fields, great culture and lifestyle of ethnic people. The charming settlements of Gurungs in Ghorepani and Ghandruk lie in a trek at the Annapurna region.

Detail Itinerary

Day
1

Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel.

Our company guide will be there at Tribhuvan International Airport to meet, greet and transfer to Hotel. After freshening up, will provide you with a brief introduction to the trekking routes. Rest Day is free for your own activities. Overnight at hotel.

Sightseeing in Kathmandu valley (1480m)

After breakfast, visit for sightseeing of various famous world heritage sites which include Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, and Kathmandu Durbar Square. It is also a good opportunity to finalize your trekking preparations.

Drive to Pokhara (450m)

You travel to Pokhara by road or optional flight. The journey offers scenic views of rivers, hills, and countryside landscapes.

Pokhara-Tikhedhunga (1540m)

Walking Hours: 3–4 hours
A short drive takes you to the starting point, followed by a gentle walk through villages and farmland. The trail is easy and helps you ease into trekking.

Tikhedhunga-Ulleri (2050m)

Walking Hours: 4–5 hours
The trail climbs steadily, including stone steps leading up to Ulleri village. The effort is rewarded with views of surrounding hills and traditional settlements.

Ulleri-Ghorepani deurali (2860m)

Walking Hours: 5–6 hours
Walking through rhododendron forests, you gradually ascend toward Ghorepani. The trail is scenic, especially during blooming season.

Hike to Poonhill and trek to Tadapani (2630m)

Walking Hours: 6–7 hours
An early hike to Poon Hill offers sunrise views over the Himalayas. After returning, you continue trekking through forest trails to Tadapani.

Walking Hours: 5–6 hours
The trail descends and climbs through forest and villages before reaching Chhomrong, a key gateway to the Annapurna Sanctuary.

Drive from Jhinu to Pokhara (850m)

Walking Hours: 4–5 hours
