01

Arrival in Paro – Sightseeing

Upon arrival at Paro International Airport, you will be greeted by your guide and transferred to your hotel. After a short rest, your Bhutan journey begins with sightseeing in Paro Valley, known for its scenic beauty and rich culture. You will visit Rinpung Dzong, an impressive fortress-monastery showcasing traditional Bhutanese architecture, followed by a walk across the iconic wooden cantilever bridge. Later, you will explore Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest and most sacred temples in Bhutan. The day offers a gentle introduction to Bhutan’s peaceful atmosphere and cultural heritage.

02

Hike to Taktsang Monastery and Drive to Thimphu

After breakfast, drive to Paro with a stop at the Airport View Point, which offers stunning views of the valley and airport runway.

Later, begin the unforgettable hike to the famous Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Paro Taktsang). The trek takes around 5–6 hours round trip (approx. 4.8 km uphill and downhill). Horses are available up to the halfway point (self-paid), after which the hike continues on foot.At the midpoint, enjoy lunch at the Taktsang Cafeteria. Optional hot stone bath experience is available in the evening (self-paid).

03

Thimphu Sightseeing

After breakfast, begin your full-day sightseeing in Thimphu. Visit the impressive Buddha Dordenma Statue, located at Kuenselphodrang Nature Park, offering panoramic views of the valley and housing thousands of miniature Buddhas inside.

Next, visit the Takin Preserve Centre, home to Bhutan’s national animal and other rare species. Continue with a short hike to Wangditse Lhakhang, a peaceful temple overlooking Thimphu valley.

Later, explore Simply Bhutan Museum, an interactive cultural center showcasing traditional Bhutanese lifestyle and activities. You may also visit the Folk Heritage Museum to understand rural Bhutanese traditions. Evening free for leisure.

04

Drive from Thimphu to Punakha

After breakfast, drive to Punakha, one of Bhutan’s most scenic valleys. En route, stop at Dochula Pass (3,100m), known for its 108 stupas and panoramic Himalayan views with snow-capped peaks on clear days. Continue to Punakha Dzong, the “Palace of Great Happiness,” located at the confluence of Pho Chu and Mo Chu rivers. Next, visit the Punakha Suspension Bridge, one of the longest in Bhutan, decorated with prayer flags and offering beautiful river views. Later, hike to Chimi Lhakhang (Fertility Temple) through a scenic village trail, believed to bless couples with fertility and good fortune. .

Return to Paro and Departure

After breakfast, you will drive back to Paro, enjoying the scenic Bhutanese countryside along the way. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have some free time for last-minute exploration or relaxation before being transferred to the airport for your onward journey. This concludes your magical journey through Bhutan, filled with breathtaking landscapes, spiritual landmarks, and cultural experiences.
